Mr Ram Kumar Shokeen’s son Sumesh Shokeen decided to take the family legacy forward by getting into politics. He was in the National Youth Congress from —- to – And later he served the Sheila Dixit-led congress government in Delhi from 2008 to 2013.
Mr Sumesh Shokeen further went on to found the Shokeen Hotels Pvt. Ltd. and started his resort-style boutique hotel in Kapashera, Delhi by the name of Atrio. He further took the family legacy to greater heights by diversifying into the gas and petroleum industry and founded Shokeen Petroleum.
Mr Sumesh Shokeen recently diversified into modernised farming and with roaring success in the first venture is now planning to convert all the agricultural land holdings with traditional farming methods to Hi-tech poly houses and hydroponics.
