Mr. Ram Kumar Shokeen
The foundation stone of the Shokeen empire was placed by the Visionary Ram Kumar Shokeen when he came back from the Air Force, after serving the country in the two wars in 1969 and 1973. He came back to his home town Delhi with a dream of providing a better lifestyle for his two daughters and son.
He saw an opportunity in the Real Estate industry and despite having no prior experience, knowledge support or any kind of backing, he decided to dive deep down into the risky real estate game. He gave himself an ultimatum and decided that he will work for two years straight even if he doesn’t make any profits.
Soon after he started Shokeen Properties, his hard work paid off and he made a small number of rs…. In his first deal, this small win gave him the confidence that what he is aspiring for is achievable and he never turned back.
Mr. Ram Kumar Shokeen always prioritised education and realised very young that the key to success is through getting a good education. With this mentality he made his children and grandchildren study in the leading boarding schools in India, and all of his grandchildren studied overseas in The United States of America.
Mr Ram Kumar Shokeen saw that there was a dire need for young children in India to be guided properly and educated well in order for them to become capable individuals. With that, he wanted to take on the responsibility of educating thousands of children in his own hands and decided to run DPS Bahadurgarh.
Shokeen Properties
Mr Ram Kumar Shokeen founded Shokeen Properties and started working in the real estate industry, specifically in the farmhouse trade. Throughout his career, Mr. Shokeen has consolidated, developed and resold a number of Farmhouse communities. Mr Ram Kumar Shokeen is very particular about his dealings and that is why he preferred to work with only his own properties rather than being a broker or a mere mediator for farm houses sale and purchase. Mr Ram Kumar Shokeen’s vision of first purchasing the land himself and then flipping it worked phenomenally well for him and today the Shokeen Properties has a land bank of more than 100 Acres in the Delhi NCR region, with the main Farm Houses land bank in Pushpanjali Farm Houses near the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Today Shokeen Properties is into various real estate verticals like agriculture, colonisation, residential as well as commercial real estate.
Sumesh Vihar Residential Complex
One of the biggest crown jewels of the Mr. Ram Kumar Shokeen and the Shokeen Properties is their residential colony project in Delhi called the Sumesh Vihar Residential Complex. The property spans over an area of 1000 acres with 2,00,000 lack sq ft of constructible area. The property is named after his only son Sumesh Shokeen and was started in 1983. Mr. Ram Kumar Shokeen established Sumesh Vihar with the thought that retired service men from the armed forces or the government devote their entire lives to the service of the nation and by the time they retire they don’t even have enough money to buy a comfortable house for their family to live in. He made this community and sold houses mainly to ex-armed forces and government officials at a subsidised rate0.
Shokeen Education, DPS Bahadurgarh
Mr. Ram Kumar Shokeen was doing very well in the Real Estate industry and was enjoying the business as well, but he understood that all the eggs should not be in the same basket. His passion for education made buying a school in terms of business expansion the best prospect. The Delhi Public School, Bahadurgarh was established in 2007 with a purpose of providing quality education. Its location in the outskirts of Bahadurgarh is perfect for giving pollution free environment to children. The impressive school building is surrounded by lush green lawns.
DPS Bahadurgarh is a co educational, day cum boarding school.
